With some of the cherries that we picked we made preserved chocolate cherries from a recipe Lindsey had seen in the Oregonian. When we tried them a few days later they seemed to have fermented, also the chocolate curdled and became granular. But I thought they would be perfect in a black forest cake, so I made two yesterday. One for me and one for the neighbors. The cherries on the top are actually some of the succesful marachino's we made.
