Today was the first day of the PSU farmers market and it felt so good to bike down there in the warm, sunny weather. There were more vegetables then I expected. I got black trumpet mushrooms, hedgehog mushrooms, baby bok choy, a wheel of creamy goat cheese, tiny and brilliantly colored carrots, and asparagus. I saw Sam Adams wandering around just taking in the sights and I bumped into Patrick and Holly with their daughter Anastasia. There was this one booth set up with miniature lego models of farm equipment, I was immediately attracted to it. They are all made by Warren Seely, 16 years old, who also does maintenance on the real machines. His family has a peppermint farm and distill their whole crop into essential oil.
