My sister, her friend Dan, Sara, and I went over to Debbie and Susan's house for lunch. We were surprised at the feast she had prepared. Navy bean and sweet sausage stew, cous cous with almonds and raisins, spinach salad with lemons. There was also innumerable little dishes passed around: brie and chevre, apples and pears, crackers, chocolate covered popcorn, truffles, candied cherries. After lunch we fed the animals with Susan. The herd of goats were very friendly. They really enjoyed having their scalp scratched, then they would go and bonk heads with each other, but in as polite a manner as you can imagine.
