Me, Riley and Penny drove up to Forrest Park on a truffle hunt to our secret spot. I've always been disappointed with the bland and entirely mild taste of Oregon truffles. This year I'm going to continue returning to the same spot every few weeks and check on the aroma evolution of the truffles. Today's results? Medium sized, odorless, uneaten by voles, no decomposition seen. It appears that we are early in the season.
